The Iwaki City Ammonite Centre was the first fossil centre of its kind to be built directly over an excavation site of ammonites and various other fossils.
The centre is a popular destination for school excursions and other kinds of exchange activities.
At this centre you may even experience excavating a fossil for yourself.
