Perhaps one of Iwaki's most popular tourist attractions, Shioyasaki Lighthouse was first opened in 1899 and has safely guided ships for over 100 years.
Shioyasaki Lighthouse, which stands at 80m above sea level, is open to the public and commands a spectacular 360 degree view of the surrounding coastal area.
The lighthouse was made famous as the setting of the movie, 'Long Years of Happiness and Sadness.'
