The method of treating the new strand of influenza has changed
UPDATE 2009/07/28
Until now, when a person showed symptoms of influenza they were required to call the Fever Consultation Centre before visiting one of the specially allocated medical facilities to be treated. Now, as of the end of July, the rules have changed so that you may now receive treatment at any medical institution.
When you are receiving treatment for a fever or other flu symptom, please call your preferred medical institution beforehand to check how they are treating, and be sure to wear a mask when you go in for treatment.
Also, the Facility that was formerly known as the Fever Consultation Centre has now been changed to the Human-Swine Influenza Consultation Centre and they will now be provide information to patients regarding medical institutions where treatment is possible.
All regional Health and Welfare Centres will continue to conduct general consultation in relation to the new strand of influenza.
